The Ace of Disks pictures the entry of that type of Energy which is called Earth. The old conception of the Earth as a passive, immobile, even dead element has been abandoned; the Disk is a whirling emblem — every Star, every true Planet, is a whirling sphere. The Atom is no more the hard, intractable, dead Particle of Dalton, but a system of whirling forces comparable to the Solar hierarchy itself.

• The Central Cipher: The central symbol is the personal Hieroglyph of "the chosen priest and apostle of infinite space, the prince-priest, the Beast" (Liber AL). In its centre is a form of the Tetragrammaton — the Phallus showing Sol and Luna, inscribed as if to equilibrate and fit into the Vesica. The seven sevens add to 49 (BABALON). This is to be compared with the Sigillum Sanctum of the Order of A.·.A.·.
• The Heptagram and Pentagons: The cipher is enclosed in a Heptagram (seven-pointed star), and this figure again in interlaced Pentagons whose sides are extended, forming a Wheel of spokes whose boundary is a Decagon (ten-sided figure). This is again enclosed within a circular band upon which is inscribed in full the name TO MEGA THERION (ΤΟ ΜΕΓΑ ΘΗΡΙΟΝ — Greek for "The Great Beast," Crowley's magical title).
• The Six Wings: About this whirling Disk are its six Wings — the entire symbol is not only a glyph of Earth as understood in the New Aeon of Horus, but of the number 666, the number of the Sun. This card is thus an affirmation of the identity of Sol and Terra — the Sun and the Earth are one.
• The Emerald Green: The primary colour of Earth is restored to Emerald Green — not the original vegetable green of Isis, but the new green of spring following the resurrection of Osiris as Horus.

The Ace of Disks represents the entry of Earth energy in its most primal form. The new doctrine makes the primary colour of Earth not black but Emerald Green — the new green of spring following the resurrection of Osiris as Horus. Nor are the Disks any more to be considered as Coins; the Disk is a whirling emblem.

The Earthly component (Heh-final, the Daughter) is set upon the Throne of the Mother to awaken the Eld of the All-Father. The NAME itself is no longer a fixed symbol, emblem of extension and limitation, but a continuously revolving sphere — in the words of Zoroaster, "rebounding, whirling forth, crying aloud."

This card is an affirmation of the identity of Sol and Terra — the recognition that the Earth is not dead matter but a living, divine body, as sacred as the Sun itself.

The Ace of Disks represents the archetype of Primordial Embodiment — the psyche's capacity to inhabit, celebrate, and sanctify the physical world before any specific material endeavour has begun. It is the root of the sensation function: the pure capacity for physical experience that precedes all particular sensations.

In Jungian terms, the revolutionary doctrine embedded in this card — that Earth is not dead but alive, not prison but temple — corresponds to one of the deepest insights of the individuation process: the redemption of the body, the material, and the mundane. Jung frequently observed that Western spirituality's contempt for matter (what Crowley calls "the fundamental heresy of the Black Lodge") was responsible for immense psychological suffering. The Ace of Disks announces the correction of this error: matter is spirit in its densest, most tangible, most celebratory form.

As the Root of the Powers of Earth corresponding to Kether (the Crown), the Ace declares the identity of the highest and the lowest — the Sun and the Earth, Kether and Malkuth, Spirit and Matter. In Jungian terms, this is the coniunctio experienced not as a distant mystical achievement but as an immediate physical reality: the recognition that the body is the temple, that the earth is holy ground, that every material act performed with full consciousness is an act of worship. The whirling Disk — no longer a static coin but a living, revolving sphere — shows that matter is not inert but dynamic, not dead but dancing.

The Ace of Disks in psychological work signals the beginning of a new relationship with the material world — the invitation to treat the body, the home, the work, and the earth itself as sacred rather than profane.
